We have our own USA factory, which we believe allows us to keep a closer eye on our production. We have high standards for product durability and quality workmanship. We can discuss modifications or unique products to fit your special needs - and if you decide to have something custom-made, we may be able to do it right away!

We believe we adhere to higher standards in our manufacturing process than most textile imports, and our factory is on a bus line, in a neighborhood, and we make products that are very durable. We practice sustainable manufacturing, and are "sweatshop-free." Our older building was converted to a factory, and, in addition to good upkeep, we have participated in National Grid's Energy Program.

We were on the on the CNN Lou Dobbs show, where we showed viewers that there still are USA-made bags, USA-made luggage, USA-made backpacks, USA-made baby carrier backpacks, and other USA-made textile bags and pack products.

Because most retailers primarily buy/sell imports, many people think that there are no bags or packs still made in the USA, but we have continued to make our excellent products in the USA!

Tough Traveler has been designing and manufacturing in the United States for 40 years; although many USA products were excellently made, most retailers and marketers went to imports, while many people in the USA have lost jobs they had skills to do.
